Mt Fuji View and Private Sauna Ryokan Shizuku

The room was extremely nice and relaxing!!! We chose the room with the sauna and private outdoor onsen and it was very large and comfortable! The dinner was absolutely fantastic. It felt like we were at a Michelin Star restaurant with the attentive waitstaff and the 12 course exceptional meal. The bus to Tokyo picks up right in front of the ryokan so that was very convenient!

Location next to the lake View of Mt Fuji (when you can see it) Service Room was great, bed was like a cloud Food was yummy - Swedish style. You pick 7 items from the menu and everything else is chargeable. Breakfast was a delight- filling. Swedish style. We had a room with a sauna and private onsen. Indoor shoes and outdoor provided, pyjamas too- better for average sized people. Hotel very responsive when I asked how to move onto my next part of the journey to Kyoto- they explained clearly and gave me the link to the bus company so I could get a bus to Mishima North station.

Magnificent view of Mt Fugi from our private Lanai!! Due to the weather, Mt. Fugi had been obscured by clouds, but at sunrise Mt. Fugi View and Private Sauna Ryokan Shizuku really lived up to its name!!! I'm glad we stayed there otherwise, we would have missed seeing Mt Fugi entirely! The staff was amazing, had tea and a snack waiting for us at check-in, brought our bags to the suites immediately. Very friendly and welcoming! The suites were huge! My husband lost his glasses in Kawaguchiko and the front desk called various companies until they were located! And then booked a taxi who waited for him to go in and get them and brought him back! The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had, all the food groups and all freshly made on site. This is a hidden gem. Lovely lake and local town. So relaxing and inviting! Wish we booked 2 nights! I'd like to attach pictures, but they don't do it justice.

The suite was immaculate and they provided everything we could possibly need for our stay (shampoo, conditioner, face wash, toothbrushes etc) but not only that, the owner of the hotel drove us to the bus station when we were caught in heavy snow so that we could get to the train station after our bus was cancelled and there were no taxis. We were in such a panic and he saved us. The staff were super friendly and helpful and we LOVED the outside bath and sauna. The views of the lake were absolutely incredible and I’m really glad we booked that room instead of the Mount Fuji one because it was cloudy so we loved the views of the lake! We told the staff we were there for our honeymoon and they wrote a lovely note for us and gave us such a sweet gift which made us grin so widely when we arrived! This was our favourite place we stayed on our 2 week Japan honeymoon. We couldn’t praise it more if we tried!

Honestly, my favourite Hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Everything is very clean and modern, private saunas and plunge baths in rooms, adjustable room lighting, fantastic views of Mt Fuji (if you book a room facing that way) etc. Possibly the best thing is the staff, who are incredibly accommodating and just some of the nicest people you are ever likely to meet! Only downside is that I didn’t stay a bit longer and explore Lake Yamanaka…

Everything was exceptional. From the staff, the accommodations, to the meals. The view was unmatched. Everything was clean and worked. And, I cannot say enough about the staff and management. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, memorable, and worry free. The manager, Yamaguchi, and all of the staff are top of their class. They take pride in their family business and went above and beyond. Everyone was eager to assist us with local information, travel arrangements, meals, and anything else with which we asked. I could go on-and-on. I really cannot say enough about how pleasant and experience this was.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly! They assisted with dinner reservations, taxi bookings and securing a rental car! They really made us feel welcome from the get go and then the room and facilities by themselves were next level!!! Absolutely majestic view of Mt. Fuji, and nothing like relishing the view whilst having a private steaming bath outdoors in your balcony (not to mention the private sauna in your room!!!). We were on our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. I would strongly recommend also trying out a few beers at the local brewery (10 min walk) - Cin Cin Brewery - the owner is probably the nicest person you'll possibly meet at a bar - he even gave us a flask full of an amazing DIPA beer to take home as a honeymoon gift! It's an absolutely rustic and beatiful and personal taproom!

Amazing hotel! Would definitely come back. The view of mount fuji is just stunning. Photos look exactly like the rooms are. They were actually bigger than expected which is quite rare for Japan. Having a hot bath while looking at mount fuji was an incredible experience. Staff were nice and friendly.

Excellent breakfast, something you definitely need to book! Great open rooms with excellent sound proofing. Loved the option to connect your phone to speakers.

Best ryokan of our whole trip .. you literally wake up to Mount Fuji in your bed . The staff , the food , the views and the room were exceptional! Nice way to end our trip with peace and quiet. Make sure you go have lunch or dinner at Shoya right down the street . We had unexpected snow but it was so great ! We had breakfast included and it was so so good and well worth it ! The private onson and private sauna in our room was so great . Do not hesitate to stay here !
